Jetty Road Traders celebrated their best-of-the-best last night at the Trader Awards, designed to recognise the retail, service and business excellence within the precinct.
The Awards were held for more than 250 traders and staff at the Glenelg Surf Club, and were hosted by the fabulous ADELADY crew.
There were nine categories contested, with GOOD PHYSIO taking out the premier award for Best Jetty Road Customer Experience as voted by more than 3,600 public votes and a panel of independent judges.
GOOD PHYSIO co-founder Tristan Chai said he was equal parts thrilled and humbled by the win.
“We’ve been part of the Jetty Road scene for only a relatively short period of time and it’s a great recognition of the team that they continue to provide an experience that makes people want to come back when they need us and refer us to friends and family,” Tristan said.
Based in Rose Street, GOOD PHYSIO prides itself on its friendly, inclusive vibe. Treatments offered include traditional physiotherapy, acupuncture, dry needling, massage, pilates and cupping.
“We identified a gap in the market for this kind of service and wanted to make sure the environment the service is offered in wasn’t sterile like a traditional physio, but instead welcoming and little bit cool,” Tristan said.
“Our vision was to innovate the space, design and feel of our clinic so that it would play a role in the rehab and wellness of our clients, and to keep our branding simple and aligned with what we do. We thought this would really suit the active Glenelg Community who make up a huge part of our clientele.”
Another new business winner in the Best Fashion, Homewares and Accessories Retailer and Best Social Media categories, Daisy & Hen, are excited about the recognition of their growing children’s fashion business.
Owner Gina Britton said Jetty Road, Glenelg was a perfect place to base the bricks-and-mortar part of the business.
“The demographic in Jetty Road is perfectly aligned to the our target market which has really assisted us in the first year of the business,” Gina said.
“We would like to thank the local community for so warmly welcoming & supporting us.”
“It’s exciting to be part of Jetty Road at this point in time as the current wave of new retailers entering the strip are bringing new people to the Bay, and along with us the associated business and retailers share in the benefits,” she said.
