French at heart
Le petite patisserie
Taking Glenelg by storm is Remy & Violette, a patisserie for the french at heart. Moving from Hutt Street, Jess (owner & chef) needed more room to grow her passion for food.
The perfect location Jess fell in love with the vintage charm of the Elizabeth Street space (situated near the Stamford Grand). Jess has decorated this little gem of a space in pale blues & dusty greens, taking inspiration from the Parisian cafe culture.
The team at Remy & Violette prepare a range delectable tarts, mouth watering pastries and french style croissants, fresh every day.
CHEF’S CHOICE // Jess is a pastry chef and recommends a traditional french croissant.
MUST TRY // Open daily for breakfast, brunch or light lunch, you must try is a traditional french toasted sandwich. The classic Croque Monsieur is made using three cheeses, ham and bechamel sauce.
COFFEE LOVERS // Remy & Violette’s coffee is Veneziano Forza a Melbourne based roaster. The taste has bold flavours a creamy body, with hints of caramel and almond.
SWEETS FOR MY SWEET // The local French crowd even enjoy these croissants because they are so authentic.
SIT & RELAX // Down the hall is a spacious seating area with funky little sofas and lounges, it’s a great place to meet up with friends!
WINDOW SHOPPING // You can’t help but peruse each day’s bake from the window front.
TARTS // With flavours like; salted caramel, lemon curd, passion fruit and dark chocolate raspberry these hand-crafted tarts are really very hard to resist.
Tucked away in a more secluded part of the Jetty
Road precinct, Remy and Violette is the perfect place to have a catch up with friends and relatives or simply take some “me time” and relax and unwind with a great book!
