On the Adelaide Fashion Festival’s last day, Sunday 21 October 2018 head down to Jetty Road for a bit of retail therapy at the – Stay & Play Street Party. Enjoy fashion parades, live music, children’s activities and plenty of shopping at the hugely successful KIDDO Markets. Get ideas on how to style your little Mr or Miss, enjoy the Kid Village where there will be a chalk art and a bubble artist. Cooking demonstrations and fashion parades will keep the older ‘kids’ entertained, food and drink vendors will be on site for the entire day.
The Lifesaving World Championships 2018 are conducted every 2 years and will be held from 16 November – 3 December 2018. Showcasing excellence in lifesaving sports and rescue; attracting the most talented and skilled lifesaving athletes to compete for the title of World’s best. The competition program is delivered over 16 days with an official opening and closing ceremony to welcome and farewell competitors and visitors.
The Moseley Beach Club will be returning to Glenelg beach from 16 November till March 2019. We can’t wait to get back on the sand for the next summer season.
The Glenelg Sunset Markets will be held again on the Glenelg Foreshore from November 2018 to March 2019. You’ll find fashion and design market stalls with everything from handcrafted ceramic jewelry to interior design pieces. The November market will be held on the same day as the Glenelg Christmas Pageant.
The Glenelg Christmas Pageant – Sunday 25 November will travel along Jetty Road, Glenelg including entertainment for young and the young at heart. Enjoy marching bands, dancers, clowns, singing groups and more that will welcome Santa to the Bay. Following the pageant there will be more entertainment in Moseley Square and an opportunity for families to meet Santa.
Yep! We’ve got beach concerts. The SummerSalt beach concert presenting acoustic alternative/folk band Angus and Julia Stone plus Meg Mac, Didirri will be set by the sea on Saturday 8 December. The Beach Life Festival is a new event coming to Glenelg on Friday 28 December, presenting UK indie/alternative rock band, The Kooks.
NEW Year’s Eve celebrations – See the year out at Glenelg Beach with a magical sunset, fireworks and live entertainment to take you right through to the new year.
